Hillside House Pad Rescue

Ela “Hillside Heroes” specialize in tackling the extremely steep and technical terrain involved with hillside excavation. Backed by years of experience our team created the perfect base for a sturdy foundation that will last for years to come.

  • Advanced Excavation Techniques

Utilizing heavy equipment and techniques to carve out a stable, level platform from a steep hillside.

  • Soil Stabilization

Implementing strategies to stabilize the soil and prevent erosion, safeguarding the hillside both during and after construction.

  • Hillside Precautions

Working closely with engineers, architects, and our team to make sure every necessary precaution was taken to build out the perfect hillside house pad.

Showcasing Our Past Excavation Projects

  • Holding the Shoreline

Along this Hayden Lake waterfront property, our team handled full site work to construct a seawall to protect the shoreline, paired with a custom cabana structure built right into the retaining system. From initial excavation through final grading, the project transformed an eroding bank into a durable, permanent waterfront feature.

  • One Road, Five Transformations

Along a stretch of Hayden Lake Road, our team took on simultaneous site and hardscape work across five neighboring properties. What began as aging concrete block walls, overgrown slopes, and worn gravel drives was rebuilt into a cohesive run of natural stone retaining walls, new parking areas, and stabilized roadside terrain — coordinated across all five sites at once.

  • Camp Bay: Summit to Shoreline

On this 40-acre waterfront property, our team is executing full site development from the mountaintop down to the beach. We're cutting and building a new road to the summit, running utilities alongside it, and clearing a separate access route down to the water — connecting a future custom home site to the shoreline below.
