Camp Bay: Summit to Shoreline

A yellow excavator cutting a new road up a forested hillside among tall cedar and birch trees, with silt fencing along the foot of the slope.
  • Steep Terrain Navigation

Working through dense timber and rugged grade changes to carve a road that stays stable through every season, including snow.

  • Below-Grade Utility Work

Trenching and laying conduit in tandem with the road build, so power reaches before the home drops.

  • Shoreline Preparation

Clearing a corridor to the beach, turning an unreachable stretch of waterfront into usable, accessible land.

  • Freshly cut access road climbing through dense timber at Camp Bay, with slash piles burning and equipment parked along the edge.
  • Aerial view of the new road cut through the forest, with conduit laid in a trench alongside it and an excavator and trucks at work.
  • Utility trench running beside the new gravel road, with gray conduit pipe and an excavator working farther up the grade.
  • Excavator loading dirt into a yellow CAT articulated dump truck in a large frosty cut on the hillside.
  • Excavator working at the top of a steep, newly cut dirt road through the trees toward the shoreline.

Excavation

Showcasing Our Past Excavation Projects

  • Holding the Shoreline

Along this Hayden Lake waterfront property, our team handled full site work to construct a seawall to protect the shoreline, paired with a custom cabana structure built right into the retaining system. From initial excavation through final grading, the project transformed an eroding bank into a durable, permanent waterfront feature.

  • One Road, Five Transformations

Along a stretch of Hayden Lake Road, our team took on simultaneous site and hardscape work across five neighboring properties. What began as aging concrete block walls, overgrown slopes, and worn gravel drives was rebuilt into a cohesive run of natural stone retaining walls, new parking areas, and stabilized roadside terrain — coordinated across all five sites at once.

  • Wall of Stability: Raising the Bar in Retaining Design

This project involves the construction of a series of massive retaining walls, and a sweeping driveway along the hillside overlooking Hayden Lake. The retaining wall is designed to stabilize the slope, prevent erosion, and create level ground for the driveway. The driveway is carefully engineered to navigate the steep terrain, providing safe and accessible access while enhancing the natural beauty of the lakeside property.
