Our Story

Empowering Community Through Building and beyond

Founded with a Vision: Ela Construction began as a humble vision in the mind of its founder, Warren Ela. With a deep passion for construction and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Warren set out to establish a company that would not only deliver exceptional results but also make a positive impact on the communities it serves. Fueled by this drive, Ela Construction was born.

Building on Experience and Expertise: Over the years, Ela Construction has grown into a trusted name in the industry, renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and willingness to take on what others won't. The company's success can be attributed to its dedicated team of skilled professionals who bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion to every project. From site excavation to construction and beyond, Ela Construction has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding craftsmanship, innovative solutions, and effective workflow.

Community-Centric Approach: What sets Ela Construction apart is our commitment to doing what's right, simply because it is the right thing to do. As neighbors, we understand that construction projects aren't just about constructing buildings, they shape the communities that we live in. We listen closely to the needs of people affected, and collaborate closely to ensure that projects not only enhance the physical landscape but also contribute to the overall well-being and vitality of the community. At Ela Construction, we build with integrity, because we believe that when we do right by our neighbors, we all thrive together.

Meet The Team

  • Warren, Owner of Ela Construction, smiling in a grey Ela Construction T-shirt in front of a stacked-stone retaining wall.

    Warren

    Owner

Warren founded ELA Construction on a simple belief: do the work right and do right by people. He's a hands-on leader who's just as comfortable in the field as he is planning the next big move. His drive, vision, and work ethic set the standard for everything ELA stands for.

  • Tayler, Executive Director at Ela Construction, smiling in a striped wrap top against a dark wood-panelled wall.

    Tayler

    Executive Director

Tayler keeps ELA running smoothly behind the scenes while also serving as a licensed real estate agent. Whether she's overseeing daily operations, supporting the team, or helping clients find the right property for their next project, she brings the same precision and care to everything she does. Having someone who understands both the business side of construction and the real estate world is a pretty powerful combination.

  • Tobin, Director of New Construction at Ela Construction, in a charcoal Ela Construction T-shirt in front of tall shop windows.

    Tobin

    Director of New Construction

Tobin manages all new construction projects at ELA, juggling a diverse portfolio that ranges from multi-million dollar lakefront homes to shop houses and toy barns. He keeps timelines on track, manages the moving parts, and stays cool when things get complicated. Outside of work he's most at home outdoors, whether that's camping with his family or hunting everything North Idaho has to offer, and he's restored two classic Ford trucks in his spare time.

  • Derek, Director of Site Work Operations at Ela Construction, in sunglasses and an Ela cap, sitting in the open cab of a yellow excavator.

    Derek

    Director of Site Work Operations

Derek leads sitework operations at ELA, bringing over two decades of large scale project experience to every decision he makes. He thrives on the technical challenges that come with running multiple projects at once and is equally invested in the people behind the work, building a culture and a team that supports the long term growth of the company. His background speaks for itself, having spent 21 years building major oil and gas pipelines and contributing to world record setting projects across the country.

  • Dustin, Superintendent at Ela Construction, in a black Ela Construction T-shirt inside the timber frame of a house under construction.

    Dustin

    Superintendent

Dustin runs point on ELA's new construction sites, keeping crews organized, quality high, and jobs moving even when the day throws curveballs. He grew up building and selling houses with his family, moving from place to place, so construction is quite literally in his DNA. When he escapes the job site you'll find him escaping town altogether — hunting, fishing, and getting as deep into the woods as possible.

  • Tierra, Experience Coordinator at Ela Construction, in a tan Ela quarter-zip in front of house wrap printed with the Ela Construction logo.

    Tierra

    Experience Coordinator

Tierra is the voice and vision behind how ELA shows up in the world. From marketing and social media to the way every touchpoint looks and feels, she makes sure that what people see, hear, and experience is unmistakably ELA. Young, driven, and deeply rooted in what makes ELA tick. Off the clock she's busy taking up new skills like hunting, and if you can't reach her she's most definitely out of cell service.

  • Megan, Financial Operations at Ela Construction, smiling in a beige Ela quarter-zip in front of a house wrapped in building paper.

    Megan

    Financial Operations

Megan is sharp, detail-oriented, and quietly keeps things running behind the scenes. She stays on top of the numbers, keeps things organized, and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. Outside of work she's happiest outdoors, whether hiking, skiing, or out on the lake, and she played piano for 10 years with a deep love for classical music.

  • Tracie, Operations Coordinator at Ela Construction, in a tan Ela quarter-zip with evergreen trees behind her.

    Tracie

    Operations Coordinator

Tracie has seen enough to know how to handle just about anything that comes through the door. She keeps the office organized, the team supported, and never blinks when something unexpected lands on her desk. She loves the variety the role brings and the people she gets to work with. A proud 4th generation Idahoan, she spends her free time boating, camping, and snowmobiling with friends and family.

  • Anthony of Ela Marine, the marine division of Ela Construction, in a red-brimmed cap and black Ela T-shirt with evergreen forest behind him.

    Anthony

    Ela Marine

Anthony leads ELA's marine division, overseeing lakeside tram and shoreline projects from start to finish. He coordinates crews, manages the details, and makes sure every job on the water is executed safely and professionally. Outside of work he's a dedicated Detroit Lions fan and an avid gardener, and his coworkers are always surprised to learn he grew up breeding Paso Fino horses on a family ranch.

  • Garhard (G), Field Operations at Ela Construction, smiling in an Ela cap and olive Ela T-shirt in front of a stone retaining wall.

    Garhard (G)

    Field Operations

Garhard, but we call him "G." G wears a lot of hats at ELA and handles every single one of them with a steady, hardworking attitude. Whether he's in the shop, on a job site, or behind the wheel, he gets it done. The kind of guy every team needs and every job site is better for having, and yes — he goes home and takes care of a whole farm too.

  • Hank, Operator at Ela Construction, in an Ela cap and grey Ela T-shirt among tall pine trees.

    Hank

    Operator

Hank brings years of hands-on experience to every job site and isn't happy until the work is done right. Straightforward, skilled, and always earning his place on the crew. Away from the job site he's equally busy — whether he's in the saddle, on the water, or at his workbench crafting knives by hand.

  • Jesse, Operator at Ela Construction, in an Ela cap and grey Ela T-shirt leaning against a stone block retaining wall.

    Jesse

    Operator

Jesse is young, hungry, and already proving himself on the job, bringing energy and a strong work ethic to every project from retaining walls to mass excavation. He thrives on the variety ELA throws at him and picks things up fast. A state champion baseball player, he's just as competitive outside of work as he is on the job site.

  • TJ, Operator at Ela Construction, in a black Ela cap and grey Ela T-shirt in front of a stone retaining wall.

    TJ

    Operator

TJ is the guy you want on a job site — whether he's shoveling a ditch, grading a road, or jumping in the dump truck, he handles whatever the day throws at him with a good attitude and a knack for making the grind more enjoyable for everyone around him. He played soccer two summers in Europe, competing against top academy teams across the continent, which explains the competitive edge he brings to everything he does. At home he's all about his kids, and he'll also be the first to tell you he's a pretty solid cook.

  • Patrick, Operator at Ela Construction, in sunglasses and an Ela T-shirt at the controls inside an excavator cab.

    Patrick

    Operator

Patrick comes from a long line of builders — third generation boat builder to be exact — and brings a genuine passion for craftsmanship and community to everything he does at ELA. Outside of work he's always got something going — camping and exploring with his three kids, restoring old projects, building furniture, or finding the steepest hill he can on a mountain bike. Just don't ask him to look down from too high up.

  • Mike, Equipment Mechanic at Ela Construction, waving beside a blue metal shop building on a sunny day.

    Mike

    Equipment Mechanic

Mike is ELA's equipment mechanic, making sure every machine on the job site is ready to go when the crew needs it. He brings years of hands-on experience to the role and knows his way around equipment inside and out. He's an outdoorsman at heart — hunting, fishing, and time with friends are his reset button. And despite having absolutely no love for heights, he's jumped out of a plane twice. Twice.

  • Randall, Truck Driver at Ela Construction, standing at the back of a dump truck at the edge of a wooded lot.

    Randall

    Truck Driver

Randall keeps things moving at ELA behind the wheel, though you're just as likely to find him out of the cab jumping in wherever he's needed. He loves the variety the job brings and thrives in an environment that's never the same day twice. Outside of work he's always got a project going, and when he's not in the shop you'll find him on the mountain snowboarding or out in the backcountry hunting.

  • Luke, Truck Driver at Ela Construction, in sunglasses and an Ela cap guiding a concrete block hanging from a lifting chain.

    Luke

    Truck Driver

Behind the wheel or wherever the job needs him, Luke shows up ready to work and genuinely invested in the people and projects around him. He brings a team-first attitude and a real appreciation for the craftsmanship ELA takes pride in. Off the job he's a musician with 20 years of touring under his belt, over 4,000 concerts across 48 states, and the ability to pick up just about any instrument you hand him. One of ten kids and a sixth-generation plumber — Luke is the kind of person you could talk to for hours and still not know everything.

  • Ela Construction logo mark, shown in place of a photo of Brayden.

    Brayden

Brayden is one of the guys who keeps things moving behind the scenes at ELA, from cleaning equipment and hauling material to moving machinery and keeping the shop in order. No two days look the same and that's exactly how he likes it. Outside of work he's your quintessential North Idaho guy — camping, four wheeling, shooting, and wrenching on his truck and Jeep whenever he gets the chance.

  • Sawyer, Laborer at Ela Construction, in an Ela cap and black T-shirt beside stacked concrete blocks on a dirt job site among pine trees.

    Sawyer

    Laborer

Already hungry to learn the trade, Sawyer thrives on the variety ELA throws at him and the satisfaction of seeing a project through to the finish. He brings a competitive edge to everything he does — which makes a lot of sense once you find out he's a wrestler with an NFL player in the family tree.

  • Garrett, Laborer at Ela Construction, in glasses, an Ela cap and a black Ela Construction T-shirt in front of a block wall and a wrapped house.

    Garrett

    Laborer

Garrett is a laborer at ELA, pitching in across construction and marine projects wherever an extra hand is needed while also keeping the crew's machines and equipment maintained and ready to go. Outside of work he's wrenching on his trucks or spending time with his wife, and twice a year you'll find him at the Renaissance faire — which might just be his best kept secret.

  • Kaleb, Laborer at Ela Construction, giving two thumbs up in orange safety glasses and work gloves on an excavated dirt site.

    Kaleb

    Laborer

Already hungry to learn the trade, Kaleb jumps in wherever he's needed and soaks up every bit of experience the job throws at him. When he's not on the job site you'll find him on a dirt bike or with a fishing rod in hand, and snowboarding is practically in his blood.

  • Chico the English bulldog, Ela Construction's "Superintendent, Goodest Boy", standing on freshly dug dirt while two crew members run a plate compactor behind him.

    Chico

    Superintendent, Goodest Boy

When he's not cruising on the back of dad's TW200, chasing the compaction devices, running equipment with the guys, or basking in the sun, the bulldog always finds himself on some fun adventure!
